There was a time the music industry doesn’t have all the hype and money it has today. There are artiste we enjoyed listening to, they contributed to the industry today with their passion and sweat.
These are the artistes below...........African China: was born in Orile, a ghetto side of Lagos, Nigeria. His educational backgrounds were in Metropolitan Primary School and Iganmu High School. He is from Imo state and is the last child of his mother.
African China started his music career in 1985 at the age of seven and went fully into music at the age of 18 in 1996, after completing secondary school. He received his first award at the Nigerian International Song Festival before releasing his debut album: Crisis that later went on to win many more awards like: Best Reggae/ Reggae dancehall at the Fanta Fame musical award, 2003 merit award, Unification Peace Award from the OPC, 1st Nigerian Entertainment award and more.
I personally missed songs like Mr President, Boko Haram, London Fever, Thanks and Praise, Orile, OPC, and more
Faze: He started is music career with the likes of 2face,
Blackfaze with the group name called Plaintainshaun boyz. This
group were the westlife of Nigeria then, I grew up listen to them and till date
their music are evergreen. After the group split and everyone went solo, Faze
dropped amazing songs like Letter to my brother, Kolomental, Let Somebody Love You
and more. Till date his music still sing in our heart and I believe many of us
that are lovers of good music missed him. He got all the talent he need to survive in
the music industry, his welcomeback will be well accepted.
ElDee: Lanre Dabiri (born May 23, 1977), better known by his stage
name Eldee D Done, is a Nigerian rapper, record producer and an Architect. eLDee
and his high school friend, “Kaboom” teamed up with “Freestyle”, and the group
Trybesmen was born. Subsequently, eLDee founded his own independent label
(Trybe Records) to support the group, and took the Nigerian music scene by
storm with two hits in 1999; “Trybal Marks” and “Shake Bodi”. Trybesmen’s debut
album “L.A.G. Style” was a massive hit and still a cult-classic. eLDee, as the
head of Trybesmen and Trybe Records, re-engineered what has now become the
music genre most call Afro-hip hop/Afro-pop. Trybe Records boasts of developing
successful artists such as Sasha, who won the Kora’s Most Promising Artist
Award in 2004, 2Shots, Lequse, olaDele, Timi, and Sid, who is now a member of
the Marvin. He got it like “Im
leaving”, “I go yarn”, “Champion”, “African Chiquito”, “big boy”, “Ota mi”,
“One day”, “Bosi Gbangba”, “Higher”, “Wash-wash”, and "We Made It"
Azadus: The first time I heard his song titled “You Is This
One”, I was like wow, what a wonderful voice and content he got. Back then he
was signed to the biggest record label, Kennis Music and he was doing quiet well
but suddenly he music. I think he ran
out of the country for a greener pasture. In 2015, he returned with a single titled “She
want more” featuring Sound Sultant and he left again. What he need is just
consistency and getting adapt to the new school

Tinny, will forever be remembered as the artist who broke into the predominantly Twi dominated hiplife music with his fast rhyming raps and punch lines in Ghana. In 2007, Tinny was picked by MTV to have his video for 'Incomplete' shot by world renowned Director Rachel Watanabe-Batton. This track was taken from his Aletse Ogboo album. In 2008, Tinny had the chance to record a single with Ja Rule when Ja Rule was in Ghana to perform during the 2008 Ghana Music Awards. He has won African Artiste of the year at the 2009 edition of the Hip Hop World Awards. I wonder where he is now. I missed him and it will be greet he come back and take his crown.
